Building 500 area, Fort Bliss


Located in El Paso, TX, Fort Bliss is home to the 1st Armored Division. We are a FORSCOM installation comprised of other commands: MEDCOM, JTF-NORTH, TRADOC, USAR, and other elements. Fort Bliss is comprised of approximately 1.12 million acres of land in Texas and New México. The Main Cantonment Area of Fort Bliss is located adjacent to El Paso, Texas. Child Care

Five Child Development Centers on Fort Bliss offer weekly and hourly child care; before/after school care for kindergarten children; before/after school care for first through sixth grade children; preschool programs and a kindergarten class. FCC approved homes, 915-568-4198.


Four elementary schools and one high school on post run by El Paso Independent School District. Personnel living off post should be aware that there are also eight other school districts in the El Paso area.

Youth Services

Youthplex on main post, houses the Middle School and Teen (MS&T) programs. Game room with billiards, foosball, video and board games, computer lab, music room, lounge with big screen TV, a video library, teen patio and playground, arts and crafts activities, and a skateboard park. Also, full use of the gym for a variety of activities.

Medical Services

William Beaumont Army Medical Center, 364-bed medical center. Information desk: 915-742-2121; appointment line: 915-742-2273; patient assistance, TRICARE 915-680-7600. In addition, health care is provided at the Soldier Family Medical Clinic, 915-742-3042; and on east Bliss Soldier Family Care Center, Bldg 11335; 915-742-1147. This clinic is located on East Fort Bliss on SSG Sims Blvd., next to the new Dental Clinic. Take SGM Blvd. and turn left onto SSG Sims Blvd. the building is located on your left.
