The Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation encompasses a wide range of activities and programs designed to improve the quality of life for its active-duty military personnel and their Families. Family and MWR is comprised of Army Community Service; business programs; Child, Youth and School Services; Community Recreation; and NAF Support Services. Programs offered by Family and MWR include family programs, libraries, sports, fitness, clubs, golf and bowling. All Family and MWR programs are open to military personnel and their Family members. Most programs are also open to Department of Defense civilian employees and their family members, and several programs are open to the public. Generally speaking, Fort Knox’s Family and MWR facilities serve everyone.
