All Soldiers who arrive at Fort Campbell report to the Kalsu Replacement Company for in-processing. During in-processing, Soldiers are met either by their sponsor or a brigade or organization representative. If the Soldier did not receive a sponsor before arrival, that representative will initiate the appointment of a reactionary sponsor. The key to this initial greeting is to create a positive receptive action and to create a good, positive first impression to both the Soldier and his or her family. The Total Army Sponsorship Program team continually works with commanders to ensure 100 percent of all Soldiers receive a sponsor prior to or immediately after arrival at Fort Campbell.
All in-processing Soldiers attend a newcomer’s orientation at the Family Resource Center each Thursday and are encouraged to bring their spouses. This orientation provides a wealth of information from support agencies as well as welcoming remarks by the senior commander/command sergeant major and garrison commander/command sergeant major.
