NBVC MWR provides quality support and recreational services that contribute to the retention, readiness,
mental, physical and emotional well being of sailors.
MWR offers a multitude of fun and relaxing options—exercise and fitness programs with state-of-theart
equipment; modern clubs serving up the latest music and food; youth programs; childcare; bowling; free
movies; ticket and travel offices; outdoor gear rental; aquatics programs; do-it-yourself auto skills centers;
golf; Liberty program; special events throughout the year and much more.
As a military ID card holder—active duty, reservist, retiree, dependent, DoD civilian or contractor—
you are an authorized patron of MWR programs and events at Naval Base Ventura County Point Mugu
and Port Hueneme.

The MWF aquatics program offers swim lessons
for children and adults. Also available are a junior
lifeguard program, family nights, pool parties and
more. The junior lifeguard program is the most
inexpensive in the county and includes a day trip to
one of the channel islands. Also water aerobics are
offered at the Hueneme pool. Instructors will help
you with your fitness goals by employing the latest
training techniques.
Aquatic Centers are free for active duty military,
retired military and active reserves. Individual or
family summer monthly passes are available June
through August for a reasonable fee.
Bingo

The Point Restaurant at Point Mugu offers
BINGO three nights a week: Monday,Wednesday
and Friday. Doors open at 4 p.m. and bingo starts
at 5 p.m.
Bowling

The NBVC Port Hueneme Lanes Bowling Center
is located on Dodson Street, CBC Port Hueneme. It
features 16 lanes with fully automatic Brunswick
pin-setting equipment, individual rental lockers,
coin-operated ball cleaning machines, pro shop services
and a snack bar. During open bowling, adults
and children 17 and under bowl at reduced rates.

Friday nights are especially fun with special offers
and events.
Gear Rentals/Outfitter Programs

Gear rental is available at NBVC Port Hueneme,
next to the Auto Hobby Shop. Tents, fishing
poles, kayaks, ski and snowboarding equipment
and other outdoor equipment are available for
rental. Hours areMonday through Friday, 7 a.m. to
3:30 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Golf
BVC Point Mugu Driving Range
Open seven days a week and offers new range
ball dispenser. Players need to purchase tokens at
Mugu ITT or CBC Golf Course.
Seabee Golf Course, Port Hueneme

The 18-hole Hueneme golf course is open to
the public. The course features a lighted driving
range, practice putting green and five water hazards.
Also available are a Pro Shop, a Clubhouse,
indoor and patio dining, a lounge, men's and
women's locker rooms and meeting rooms. Golf
clubs/cart rental, club storage, lessons and punch
cards are also available.
Gyms
Bee-Fit Wellness Center

The center is open to all authorized persons and
administers the Command directed Bee-Fit program,
which includes physical conditioning, personalized
physical analysis, nutritional evaluations
and message therapy. Costs associated with different
classes and patron status.

The Point Mugu Gym's weight and exercise
rooms feature top-of-the-line resistance machines,
lifecycles, free weights and other fitness equipment.
Also available is a full-size basketball court.
Warfield Gymnasium

Fitness and sports enthusiasts can enjoy invigorating
workouts and competition. The weight and
exercise rooms feature top-of-the-line Cybex
resistance machines, lifecycles, free weights and
other fitness equipment. Also available is a fullsize
basketball court and two racquetball courts.
An outdoor, lighted basketball/volleyball court is
located on the west side of the building. Also, massages
are available by calling (805) 218-2799.
