Welcome to Naval Support Activity Mid-South, and the Navy Mid-South family. The Millington-Memphis area is a great place to live, work and raise a family, offering a multitude of advantages and opportunities.


Our History

Naval Support Activity Mid-South, as it is known today, was first commissioned as a Naval Reserve Air Base Sept. 15, 1942.

Newcomer Information

Navy staff personnel checking into NSA Mid-South should check in at the NSA Admin Office on the second deck in the Fuqua Building (S-455) during normal work hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.). After normal work hours and on weekends, NSA Mid-South personnel should check in at the NSA Mid-South Quarterdeck, Building455, with the CDO cell phone (901) 282-0338.


Permanent Party

Currently, single permanent party personnel (E-1 to E-4) assigned to host and tenant commands are provided berthing accommodations in Building S-454. Due to limited berthing space and CNIC directives E-5 to E-9 are encouraged to draw Single Basic Allowance for Housing and live off base. Personnel assigned to Building 454 are provided a private room, and private bath.

NSA Mid-South Services

The Consolidated Mail Facility and U.S. Post Office are co-located in the Callaghan Building (S-790). The official mailing address for Navy Personnel Command is 5720 Integrity Drive, Millington, TN 38055. The official mailing address for all other activities located on base is 5722 Integrity Drive, Millington, TN 38054.

Shopping on Base

The Commissary store is located in Building S-782 on Polaris Drive near Singleton Gate. Hours are Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Monday, closed; Tuesday through Friday, early bird (15 items or less) 7 to 9 a.m./regular shopping, 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; and Saturday, 9a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tenant Commands

The HRO Memphis Field Office, located in the Community ServicesBuilding (S-456), provides civilian personnel management support to 53 activities with a service population in excess of 1,200 civilian employees.

Local Area

In the 1850s, a store and a blacksmith shop were built beside the Memphis-to-Kerrville Road. These two businesses, along with the homes of the owners, comprised the settlement in the present Millington area.
