Marine Corps Base Hawaii has assignment rights to 189 Army-owned two-, three- and four-bedroom quarters located at Aliamanu Military Reservation (AMR). Eligible applicants who choose to place their name on the AMR waiting list will be referred to the Army’s Fort Shafter Housing Office.

Furniture

Service members reporting to Hawaii are authorized full weight allowances for shipment of household goods. Government furniture is available for temporary loan up to 90 days for personnel with command sponsored dependents living on or off base and who are awaiting the arrival of their household goods. When available, loaner furniture includes sofas, chairs, coffee tables, end tables, lamps, dining tables and chairs, dressers and beds. Refrigerators and ranges are provided in all base houses; however, washers and dryers are not. Government-owned appliances are not available for off-base housing.

The Joint Personal Property Shipping Office (JPPSO) handles all Navy and Marine Corps household goods shipments. For additional assistance and information, call (808) 473-7750.

Appliances

All Base houses are equipped with an electric range, microwave oven and refrigerator. For your convenience, as part of our temporary loan furniture program, we will provide a government-owned washer and dryer up to 90 days. However, we highly recommend you bring your own electric washer and dryer. Government-owned appliances are not provided for use in community housing.
