The Semper Fit and Recreation administrative office is located on the lower level of Little Hall, Building 2034, Barnett Avenue. The program offers a wide variety of recreational activities designed to help patrons stay in shape and enjoy their leisure time. Golf, boating, bowling, recreational classes, auto hobby skills center, special events, discount ticket sales and more are available. Auto Hobby Skills Center

Located at Building 2080, behind Pruitt-Hall Barracks, the Auto Hobby Skills Center provides assistance with repair, maintenance and instruction on automotive needs for Marines and their families. The shop offers the assistance of certified mechanics and the equipment needed to repair and rebuild personal vehicles, as well as classes in preventive maintenance and repairs. The Auto Hobby Skills Center has a retail area stocked with oil, filters and vehicle fluids. Take Anderson Avenue, behind Barber Physical Activity Center. Bowling Center

Located on the lower deck of Little Hall, Building 2034, the Bowling Center is a 12-lane facility that also offers a snack bar for refreshments. The center features
“Glo-Bowling,” which creates a club-like atmosphere with a light show and the latest music. The Bowling Center is available for birthday parties, unit functions, and league and recreational bowling. For information, call 703-784-2210.

Wheelchair Access — The bowling center “inside” staircase is now equipped with a wheelchair ramp. Handicapped patrons can enter Little Hall via the loading dock, take the elevator to the basement level, and follow the sign to the Bowling Center. It is suggested that patrons contact the Bowling Center staff at 703-784-2210 on evenings and weekends to ensure they can gain entry to the loading dock door.

Base Theater

Located on the main deck of Little Hall, Building 2034, Barnett Avenue, the Base Theater shows near-first-run movies four days a week to all authorized patrons. The concession stand is open during movie showings.

Golf Course

The “Medal of Honor” Golf Course is open to the general public and offers a wide variety of golf activities. Located off Fuller Road, this facility offers an 18-hole course, practice range, practice putting green, pro shop, locker rooms, banquet-sized pavilion and clubhouse/eatery. Patrons may schedule private golf outings, participate in beginner clinics, youth golf lessons and the Women’s Golf League, or schedule private lessons. Information, Tickets & Tour Office

Recreational/Information, Tickets & Tours is located at the Marine Corps Exchange, Building 3500, Russell Road, and offers information and brochures about many local and regional attractions. The staff searches out “hot spots” suitable for individual and family outings and tours of special interest to their customers.

Rec/ITT offers discount tickets and coupons to many local attractions: Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens, Six Flags America, Colonial Williamsburg, the Verizon Center and more. Leisure Travel

Lunga Park

Lunga Park is nestled along a 420-acre reservoir, located approximately 7.5 miles west of the south gate to Marine Corps Base Quantico on road MCB-4. The park has a wide selection of outdoor activities where you may enjoy the natural beauty of the area, including fishing, hiking, camping, boating and bird watching. For information on acquiring fishing licenses (both base and commonwealth fishing licenses are required), renting watercraft, or reservations for camping or picnic pavilions, call 703-784-5270. The Marina is located in the town of Quantico at the east end of Potomac Avenue, in Building 25. It has more than 100 slips, offering daytime, overnight and long-term berthing for boats up to 50 feet in length; most slips offer electric hookups. It has restroom and shower facilities, a pump-out station and a small resale service that sells oil, gas, ice and other boat supplies on-site. The Marina has a small fleet of rental Jon boats, bass boats and sailboats for use on the Potomac River. For storage of your recreational vehicle or boat, or for information, call 703-784-2359.

Quantico 50-Meter Pool

This Olympic-sized pool for the whole family is adjacent to The Clubs at Quantico, just off Dunlap Circle. The pool has both a low and high dive, waterslide and a beach-entry wading pool.

The pool offers programming that includes youth and adult swim lessons, lifeguard training, family swims, lap swims and much more. The Quantico 50-meter pool is also available for private parties. For information, call 703-784-2973.


The Quantico MCCS Athletic Program is located in the Barber Physical Activity Center, Building 2073, to assist Marines in promoting morale and esprit de corps, while keeping physically fit and mentally alert, and to fulfill the leisure needs and interests of military personnel, their family members and eligible DOD civilians. The program provides recreational, informal and competitive athletic activities. The sports program is composed of four elements: All-Marine and higher levels of competition, intramurals, and recreational and informal walk-in activities. For information, call 703-784-5627.

All-Marine Sports

Quantico is frequently asked to host other All-Marine, armed forces and national events. The athletic office provides support and assistance to Quantico Marines in the All-Marine sports program.


Intramurals provide opportunities for participation in a wide range of individual and dual sports for both men and women.

Youth Sports

Youth Sports provide a coed and inclusive (special needs children) recreational and instructional sports program that includes basketball, baseball, soccer and flag football.

Emphasis is placed on fair and equal play, regardless of the skill level; teaching teamwork and good sportsmanship; and improving skill level. All Youth Sports coaches are volunteers and must be certified under the National Youth Sports Coach Association. Training includes basic coaching, coaching children with disabilities (inclusion) and sport-specific training.

The Youth Sports management is certified under the National Alliance for Youth Sports and teaches training classes for coaches. All coaches are also required to undergo background checks. Semper Fit And Recreation Branch

The Semper Fit and Recreation Branch consists of a combined arms team of professionals with specialized expertise in sports management, health promotion and education, fitness and road race management, parks, aquatics and recreation.

Barber Physical Activity Center

The Barber Physical Activity Center is in Building 2073, Barnett Avenue. The center is a comprehensive facility offering a state-of-the-art fitness center, group exercise room, spin room, full-size basketball court, three racquetball courts, health promotion center, co-op day care, locker rooms with saunas and a smoothie bar. The facility is open seven days a week.

Health Promotion

The Semper Fit Health Promotion Center is located in the Barber Physical Activity Center, Building 2073, Barnett Avenue. It is staffed by both Navy medical and MCCS personnel. The center offers various health and fitness screenings that can be used by a personal trainer or the dietitian to design specific programs meeting individual needs.

The Semper Fit Health Promotion Center also provides educational classes and briefs to individual units for annual training and professional military education in support of the MCO on Semper Fit. Physical Fitness

The Quantico Physical Fitness Program is located in the Barber Physical Activity Center, Building 2073, Barnett Avenue. Fitness programs include fitness assessment and exercise prescriptions, cardiovascular conditioning programs, strength training and conditioning, group exercise programs, health promotion and exercise assistance, annual fitness events, the annual Semper Fit fair, CPR training, massage therapy, the fitness lecture series and a variety of specialty programs.
