Navy Gateway Inns & Suites Guests
Anyone traveling on DOD Funded TAD/ TDY Order or leisure travel (space available Military members (active duty or retired) and family members and DOD/NAF employees) should make their reservations through the website at http://www.DODlodging.net or call (877) NAVYBED (628-9233). Navy Gateway Inns & Suites rooms include the following amenities: Cable television (flat screen in newly renovated rooms), telephone service with wake-up, voicemail, free Internet, iron and ironing board, alarm clock, microwave and refrigerator. Laundry facilities are located throughout the property and in close proximity to all rooms. Common lounges with cable television and laundry, snack and beverage vending machines are in various locations in the Navy Gateway Inns & Suites facility. Conference/meeting facilities are available upon request.

Patrician Military Housing welcomes the opportunity to introduce you to New Orleans Navy Housing (NONH), a success story in privatization and transformation of base housing. One of the Navy's newest housing complexes and the nation's first on-base charter school make New Orleans one of the finest duty stations in the world. With more than 900 townhomes and flats, NONH has two, three and four bedroom units to fit every family size. Singles, retirees, reservists and DOD civilians are welcomed.

New Orleans Navy Housing is situated on Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, physically located in Belle Chasse, La., and The Village at Federal City formerly known as Naval Support Activity on the Westbank of New Orleans. Southern charm and hospitality great you everywhere.

New Orleans Navy Housing is a special place for special people. All units include a fully-equipped kitchen many with microwaves and ice makers. There are multiple cable connections, ceiling fans, walk-in closets, washer and dryer connections, storage areas, balconies, porches, patios, and garages. Units have decorator selected carpets, ceramic and vinyl tiles, a pantry in the kitchen area, oak cabinets, and dishwasher among the many amenities that create a wonderful ambiance and style.

The New Orleans Navy Family Housing Welcome Center is located in Patrician's Community Center at NAS JRB New Orleans, in Belle Chasse, La., and assists active-duty military members, Reservists, DOD civilians, and retirees applying for housing on board NAS/JRB, as well as assisting those personnel seeking housing in the local community.

All personnel requesting military base housing are required to complete a Housing Application Form, DD-1746, which can be obtained at the welcome center. The welcome center staff qualifies all personnel for referral/assignment to base housing based on family composition. Military personnel are required to submit a completed application for housing with a copy of their orders and a copy of their dependency status. Once this information is received the housing staff will process their application and forward their referral to the PPV Partner (Patrician Military Housing) for assignment to base housing.

Permanent Party Residents
Anyone who is on Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders to NAS JRB New Orleans should check in at Building 562 with a copy of their current orders. E1 - E3 single personnel are housed on a permanent basis and are provided the following:
* A furnished private bedroom that has a shared bathroom and kitchen with one other E1 - E3 member.
* Telephone, mailbox, cable television and high speed internet services are available.
* Bicycle storage, luggage storage and laundry facilities are also available.
E4 and above personnel are also housed in Bachelor Housing; however this is on a space available basis. Single BAH will be authorized for E4 and above members desiring to reside on the economy. Contact the check-in desk at Building 562 for the proper application for Single BAH.

Personal Property
The personal property office is responsible for the shipment, delivery and storage of household goods, unaccompanied baggage and mobile homes for Department of Defense, Coast Guard and civilian personnel residing in or transferring to 24 parishes in the state of Louisiana on travel orders. The office is located in Building 31 at NAS JRB New Orleans. The office hours are weekdays, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The phone number to reach someone regarding shipments going out or coming in is 678-9820.
