MWR MAYPORT
MWR Mayport is home to 'The Finest Resort on the First Coast'...and you're already a member. The Naval Station Mayport Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department (MWR) provides a wide variety of high quality services, facilities, recreation programs and activities. WINDY HARBOR GOLF CLUB
The 18-hole, par 72 golf course located on Main Street winds through the intra-coastal waterway and is lined with beautiful oak and palm trees. The club includes a driving range and practice green. The course is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. except in winter when it closes at 6 p.m. Mayport's 6,700-square-foot golf clubhouse features a pro shop and men's and women's locker rooms, as well as Bogey's, an 80-seat restaurant which is open to all hands seven days a week. Bogey's is open 6 a.m. to dusk with limited menu after 2 p.m. A premier hour is held every Wednesday and Friday 4 to 6 p.m. and features complimentary hors d'oeuvres and drink specials. BEACH SIDE COMMUNITY CENTER
The Community Center features Castaway's Lounge, Computer Cove with free Internet access, a video game room and Bingo. Castaway's welcome live bands every month and DJ entertainment is provided Wednesday through Monday, starting at 8 p.m. The bingo hall has an outdoor deck with a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean. Bingo is offered Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 6:15 to 10 p.m.; Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 12:15 to 4:30 p.m. Pizza Hut and Dick's Wings are located just inside the Community Center. The facility is available for private functions at competitive prices.
