CHILD CARE SERVICES
NAS Fallon Child and Youth Programs (CYP) provide quality developmental and recreational care in three different settings for children ages 6 weeks through 18 years.
The Child Development Center (CDC) is available for Full time, Part time and Drop-in care in a classroom setting. The CDC offers care for children 6 weeks through 5 years. The program is opened Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This program has been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since 1997. The program is a participant in the Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP) and is able to offer breakfast, lunch and snack at no additional charge. The CDC is located at 1001 Juniper Drive.
NAS Fallon Child Development Homes (CDH) is available for children 6 weeks through 12 years. Children are cared for in a nurturing home environment located in base housing. Providers are encouraged to become accredited through the National Association for Family Child Care. In addition, providers receive extensive background clearance and receive equal quality training from the CYP Training and Curriculum Specialist. CDH homes have the flexibility to offer extended hour care.
NAS Fallon Youth and School-Age care offers developmental and recreation based activities for youth 6 through 18 years of age. Located in Building 1003, the Youth center offers before and after school care as well as vacation camps. For teens 13 through 18, open recreation and special classes, such as tae-kwon-do and money matters, are offered. The Youth and School-Age care program is accredited by the National After school Alliance and is affiliated with the Boys and Girls Club of America and the 4-H Club. The program is opened Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This program also offers weekend and after hours special events.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
The Command Equal Opportunity Advisor provides services to NAS Fallon, tenant commands and visiting Carrier Air Groups. Duties include advising the Commanding Officer and the Command Master Chief on all matters relating to Equal Opportunity/Sexual Harassment Programs and policies. The Equal Opportunity Advisor will be the point of contact for all base wide EO/SH concerns.
The EOA provides guidance to CMEO managers regarding EO/SH complaints, conducting of command climate surveys and various ethnic observances supported by the DoD. For more information, contact (775) 426-2091.
FLEET AND FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER (FFSC)
The NAS Fallon (NASF) Fleet and Family Support Center is located in Building 309 inside the Main Gate and serves all NASF and tenant commands' single and married active duty military personnel, reservists, retirees and their family members. The FFSC is fully staffed and available Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. to provide services such as information and referral, relocation assistance, transition assistance, spouse employment, financial counseling and education, deployment support, individual and family counseling, family advocacy, Sexual Assault Victim Intervention and retired activities information and assistance.
