Medical
Building 1175, (928) 269-2700 The Branch Health Clinic's mission is to provide safe, effective and efficient outpatient care to active duty service members, their family members and retirees. The clinic provides basic family practice medicine. They have a full ancillary department and a limited number of specialty services. The clinic is part of the TRICARE Prime network. Patients must enroll through the TRICARE Service Center to receive care. TRICARE is an enrollment-based system devised to provide beneficiaries with a primary care manager who will assess each patient's medical needs and provide appropriate medical care. The TRICARE Service Center, located next to the clinic, provides medical benefit and enrollment information for family members and retirees. The MCAS community has more than 12,000 Department of Defense beneficiaries; approximately 5,000 are enrolled and treated at the clinic. The remaining 7,000 are enrolled through the local TRICARE network in the Yuma community.

All inpatient care for active duty service members, their family members and retirees is provided through Yuma Regional Medical Center, Naval Medical Center San Diego or Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no appointments available on Thursdays after 12 p.m. Appointments are required for service and can be scheduled by calling (928) 269-2700 weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. For urgent care after hours and on weekends please call the clinic duty officer at pager (928) 376-2282. Medical concerns can also be addressed through a telephone consultation. A T-Con will allow the patient to speak to a nurse and can address needs such as medication refills, requesting lab or other test results or to give feedback on your treatment experience. T-Cons can be initiated by calling (928) 269-2700 during normal working hours. All emergencies are handled by the local civilian hospital. For emergency assistance call 911. The air station fire department provides ambulance service for on-base emergencies.

Dental

The MCAS Yuma Dental Clinic offers a variety of services including restorative, periodontics, prosthodontics and minor oral surgery care for service members. Endodontics and oral surgeries will be referred to local dental service providers. Orthodontic service is unavailable. Any necessary dental specialty procedure that cannot be performed here will usually be referred to the MCAS Miramar Dental Center, San Diego Naval Dental Center or Balboa Hospital in San Diego.

Sick call hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and 1 to 2 p.m. on a walk-in basis. On Friday, the sick call hours are 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. only. Appointments for active duty members can be made through a unit dental representative, by phone or by walk-in at the dental clinic appointment desk. Sick call patients in pain are dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Presently, dental care for dependents of active duty members, retirees and their dependents is not available. Active duty service members are recommended to enroll their families in the United Concordia Dental Plan. Commissary

The air station commissary provides groceries to military personnel, retirees and their families, and is a valued part of military benefits. The commissary sells groceries at cost, plus a five percent surcharge, saving you an average of 30 percent or more over civilian grocery stores, especially on meat. A family of four shopping consistently at their commissary can save more than $2,700 annually. The 5 percent surcharge is not a profit or a tax. It pays for commissary renovations and building new stores. The commissary's normal hours are Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed Monday. Station Identification Center

The station identification center, which handles active duty military and dependent identification cards as well as DEERS enrollment, is located in Building 852. When attempting to replace a lost or stolen active duty identification card, you must present two valid forms of identification such as birth certificate, Social Security card, voter registration card or photo ID as well as a minor offense report from pass and registration located in Building 952. If you need to enroll a new child in DEERS, an original or certified copy of the child's birth certificate, Social Security card and marriage certificate is required. The station ID center is open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with 7 to 11 a.m. for walk-ins and 12:30 to 3 p.m. for appointments only. The station welcomed a brand-new base exchange complex in the fall of 2009. The exchange carries men's and women's clothing, shoes, sporting goods, luggage, cosmetics, jewelry, uniforms and uniform accessories, commercial military gear, convenience foods, beverages (alcoholic and nonalcoholic), health and comfort items, books and magazines, greeting cards, hardware, housewares, electronics and multimedia items and Marine Corps gifts and souvenirs. Other services offered within the main exchange include hunting and fishing license applications, Deferred Payment Plan payment services and gift certificates. Hours of operations are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday and holidays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets & Tours

Tickets & Tours is located inside the Video Corner and has tickets to exciting places like Disneyland, Sea World, Universal Studios, the San Diego Zoo, Knott's Berry Farm, Magic Mountain and more. They also have hotel vouchers available for discounts on lodging near some of the most popular attractions. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Sunday and holidays, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Auto Service Center

The Auto Service Center contains 12 service stalls with seven hydraulic lifts, one engine rebuilding room and a welding room that can accommodate vehicles for repair and maintenance needs. You have the choice to work on your own vehicle or have trained mechanics do the work for you. There are a wide variety of automotive and recreational vehicle parts for sale inside the center, including batteries, tires, NAPA auto parts and accessories. You can also ask the service manager to order parts that are not found on the shelves. Hand tools are available at each work stall, and pneumatic tools are also available. Welding equipment includes a mig, a tig, a stick and a torch. RV storage reservations can also be made at the center. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The center is closed on Sunday, Monday and holidays.

AutoPride Gas/Service Station

AutoPride Gas/Service Station is equipped with four service islands, each with two fuel pumps that allow pay-at-the-pump service. The service station also sells snacks and convenience foods and has a soda and coffee fountain and sells a wide variety of automotive batteries and accessories. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday and holidays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Car Wash

The coin-operated car wash is located next to the Auto Service Center. It contains three car stalls and one RV stall. It is also equipped with four coin-operated vacuums. The car wash has a change machine on site. It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The air station mess hall provides meals for military personnel. Single Marines residing in the barracks receive free meals by showing their meal card. Marines receiving commuted rations pay a fee ranging from $3 to $6 depending on the meal. The mess hall offers a main line with traditional hot meals, a snack line with fast-food style selections, a salad bar, desert bar and numerous beverage choices. The SubMarine Bar is also offered Monday through Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m. Various kinds of sub-style sandwiches are made fresh to order as well as pizzas and salads. The mess hall is open weekdays, 5:30 to 7:30 a.m. for breakfast; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch; 4 to 6 p.m. for dinner. Weekend and holiday hours are 9 a.m. to noon for brunch and 3 to 5 p.m. for dinner. Hours of operation are normally extended during large exercises such as Weapons and Tactics Instructors course due to the increased base population.

Sonoran Pueblo

The Sonoran Pueblo club complex serves lunch Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the banquet hall. A different buffet is offered each day and offers numerous items from the menu. Lunch is open to all base personnel, families and retirees.

The grill offers a wide range of delicious Mexican specialties. You may dine-in or take-out. Open Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The food court offers dining at restaurants Carl's Jr., Subway, Rice King, Benito's Pizza as well as the Desert Perk coffee shop. Wireless internet is also available.

Entertainment
Sonoran Pueblo Consolidated Club

The Sonoran Pueblo is a 32,000 square foot, state-of-the-art complex that provides private club areas for officers, staff noncommissioned officers and enlisted personnel as well as dining facilities for all ranks. The club can be reserved for change-of-commands, wetting downs, banquets, wedding receptions, birthday parties and more. The banquet area can be configured to serve more than 400 guests or divided into sections for smaller groups.

Infinities
Infinities features a nightclub atmosphere including a live disk jockey and some of the lowest drink prices in Yuma. Entertainment attractions vary from live hip hop, rock and reggae band performances. Themed parties are also frequently held on Friday nights. The 15 TVs and six large-scale projectors make watching free Pay-per-view fights feel like sitting ringside. Full NFL season coverage is also offered. Infinities is open to civilians on Friday and Saturday nights 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. To gain base access visitors must present a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and current registration. The club is open Tuesday through Thursday 5 p.m. to midnight.

Movie Theater

The station movie theater provides the latest in popular movies seven days a week with a matinee available on Saturday. The current weekly schedule can be located on the MCCS website.

Video Corner

The Video Corner provides a current selection of new releases, newer catalog selections and the older classics on DVD for rent from 75 cents to $1 a day. Children's movies are 99 cents for a five-day rental period. Sony Playstation 2 video games are also available for rent. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 9 p.m. and holidays, noon to 6 p.m.

Single Marine Program Recreation Center

The Single Marine Program Recreation Center provides a free, fun and relaxed environment for single Marines. The SMP Recreation Center has Xbox Elites with Xbox Live accounts, a PS3, a Nintendo Wii, pool/poker/ping pong tables, desktop computers with internet access, Wi-Fi access and a movie room with a Bose sound system. The center regularly hosts Texas Hold'em, Call of Duty, Halo, ping pong and pool tournaments. The SMP Recreation Center's hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight and Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The Single Marine Program also often offers monthly trips to various locations and events throughout the Southwest, such as Las Vegas, deep-sea kayaking in the Pacific Ocean, the Red Bull Speed Races in San Diego and skiing in Big Bear, Calif. All SMP trips are sold out of the SMP Recreation Center. Low-cost trips include transportation, lodging and a ticket into the event. For example, the cost of the Big Bear ski trip, which included transportation, two-day lodging, ski lift tickets, ski or snowboard rentals and a lesson, saved each Marine more than $200.

The station library has 10 computers with internet access. The comfortable reading area has newspapers and magazines for up-to-date information. The children's room is geared toward youths 18 months through 1st grade. Story time is conducted weekly for 3- to 6-year-olds during the school year and a summer reading program is presented for school-age children throughout the summer. Interlibrary loan services are available if the library doesn't have the material you are seeking. A photocopier is also available for patron use. Cardio Corner

The center's fitness coordinator offers personalized fitness assessments, body composition, fitness programs and more. Coordinator is available Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Ramada Recreational Field/Training Area

Located next to Ramada Field is the station obstacle course and Marine Corps Martial Arts Program training area, as well as the simulated Humvee rollover trainer. Cactus Bowl Bowling Alley

The Cactus Bowl offers leagues for bowlers of all skill levels, "cosmic" bowling for the young and young at heart, a snack bar with a great selection of food and beverage items and a full-service pro shop. Oasis Swimming Pool

Arizona Adventures

Arizona Adventures offers numerous recreational items for Marines to rent. These include sporting equipment such as golf clubs, footballs, baseballs, tennis racquets, soccer balls and volleyballs, as well as camping equipment such as coolers, tents, sleeping bags, lanterns, grills and even RV campers. Arizona Adventures also offers water sports gear like kayaks, water skis, belly boats, inner tubes and more. Arizona Adventures is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but are closed Wednesday. Weekend hours are Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.

Devil Dog Paintball Park

The Desert Warrior is the air station's award winning base newspaper providing news stories and photos on the latest happenings affecting Yuma personnel and families. The station off-duty education center offers assistance in a wide range of educational opportunities to service members, military spouses and Department of Defense civilian employees in the Yuma area. The education center offers assistance in obtaining tuition assistance, using GI Bill benefits, counseling for Marines applying for commissioning programs and testing in numerous military programs in increase career opportunities and potential. Additionally, the education center has satellite offices for many local colleges, including Arizona Western College, University of Phoenix and Northern Arizona University.

Tuition Assistance
Before you enroll in college, all first time tuition assistance users must attend the College 101 orientation. The orientation is offered on Monday, 11 a.m. to noon at the education center.

The eligibility guidelines are as follows:
To qualify for tuition assistance a service member must: be on active duty for the entire length of the course; attend an institution accredited by a regional, national or professional accrediting recognized by the Department of Education; provide all grades from courses and reimburse aid for all "W" and "F" grades; obtain tuition assistance before the start of the course; hold a minimum GT score of 100 (or 10.2 TABE Test or MASP completion); have no outstanding tuition assistance debt, no missing grades from prior courses and have no disciplinary actions pending.

Testing
The education center also offers a range of testing. Military testing includes: Armed Forces Classification Test, Defense Language Aptitude Battery, Defense Language Proficiency Test for foreign languages; General Classification Test, High School/GED Equivalency, College Level Examination and more than 30 certification examinations for professional certification. The education center proctors exams for college placement exams for active duty, including the Scholastic Aptitude Test, American College Test and the College Level Examination Program. Legal Assistance

The Legal Assistance Office provides legal services, assistance and advice to active duty service members, retirees and their family members. The Legal Assistance Office prepares wills, powers of attorney, military vehicle exemptions and immigration and naturalization forms. Advice concerning divorce, child custody and support, debtor/creditor, landlord/tenant, immigration and naturalization and other legal matters is also available. All services provided are free. Notary public services, powers of attorney and vehicle tax exemption forms can be handled on a walk-in basis. Appointments are encouraged for all other legal matters. During tax season, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance center is operated in the Legal Assistance Office. Service members may file their annual income tax return for free here. The station post office serves as both a U.S. Postal Service and military postal facility. The USPS handles all personal postal needs from stamp purchases to priority mail. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. For additional information, call (928) 344-3418. Personnel residing in the barracks will receive a personal post office box located at the post office to receive mail at their convenience. Personnel living in base housing or off base will receive their mail at their place of residence. All official mail is handled through the military postal facility. Navy/Marine
Corps Relief Society

The Navy/Marine Corps Relief Society is a private, non-profit, volunteer service organization. The primary mission of the society is to assist eligible active duty and retired military personnel and their dependents in coping with immediate financial emergencies and needs using donated funds. The office is staffed with trained volunteers who assess needs and give financial counseling to enable clients to live within their means on a continuing basis. Assistance may be provided through confidential counseling, interest-free loans or grants and referrals to various other agencies. Operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. To schedule an appointment for assistance, call the office at (928) 269 2373. Emergencies will be seen as soon as possible; an appointment will not be necessary.

Quick Assist Loans
The society offers a program aimed as an alternative to high-interest "pay-day" loans lending. The Quick Assist Loan program offers an interest-free loan up to $300 in as little time as it takes to fill out the paper work. The loans are designed to help with basic living expenses such as housing, utilities, food, clothing, medical, dental, transportation, vehicle expenses or to assist during family emergencies.

Expectant Parent Workshops
Budget for Baby, Daddy's Baby Boot Camp and the New Parent Support Group are classes offered by the society to help future parents prepare for their new child. The society also provides free layettes worth approximately $60 to all Marines and sailors when expecting a child. Expectant parents may attend the Budget for Baby class prior to the birth of their baby and receive a layette. This class teaches financial planning to get ready for the added expenses of another family member. Parents may still qualify for the layette up to one month after the baby is born by having a one-on-one budget done in the office. Layettes contain a towel, washcloth, crib sheets, blankets, sleepers, onesies, booties, baby book and more.

Visiting Nurse
The nurse is routinely available to provide home visits to Navy and Marine Corps families with health education questions or problems. The nurse's hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The visiting nurse does hospital visits, when possible, at Yuma Regional Medical Center for Marine and Navy military and family members only. Prenatal, post-operative and postpartum mother/newborn visits are done in the home on an appointment basis, along with pediatric visits, medical/surgical visits and others. Thrift Shop

The societies' Thrift Shop is open Tuesday though Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The shop has a good selection of usable uniforms, household goods, toys, books, clothing and other miscellaneous items for sale at reasonable prices. Good, durable, re-saleable items may be left in the box beside the building or brought into the shop during open hours. Child Development Center

The Marine Corps' child development center provides full-time childcare for children 6-weeks to 9-years-old. A preschool program for 3- to 5-year-olds is also offered. School-age and school intercession care for 6- to 9-year-olds is also offered. Childcare referral is also available to assist you in finding childcare. The CDC hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Child Development Program assists active duty personnel in balancing the competing demands of family life, accomplishment of the mission and supports parents in rearing their children. Youth Center

The Youth Center provides a host of activities offered throughout the year for 6- to 18-year-olds. The center operates a variety of recreation programs, seasonal sports for most age groups including base leagues, summer day camps and school intercession programs. Youth can participate in field trips, arts and crafts activities, sports clinics, hikes, teen dances, movie nights and much more. Assistance is provided regarding local vacancy listings, job referrals, resume critiquing and assessing individuals' current skills and interests. Personal Financial Support

The Personal Financial Support section provides financial management services including budget development, financial planning and debt management, as well as monthly workshops on topics covering car buying, home buying, savings and investments and basic budgeting. Family Advocacy Program

The Family Advocacy Program is staffed by certified professional counselors to help the military community with personal or family issues. Marriage counseling, crisis intervention and short-term assistance with personal issues are just some of the services available. Classes in stress and anger management, interpersonal communications, problem solving and effective parenting are also available. The Relocation Assistance Program provides relocation services for inbound/outbound personnel and counseling on benefits, entitlements and special needs. Standard Installation Topic Exchange Service, an automated information system, provides a wide range of information on all major military installations worldwide (e.g. housing, schools, base services, local community, etc). Religious Assistance
The command religious program, headquartered in the chapel complex (Buildings 1176, 1177 and 1178), includes a 500-seat sanctuary, classrooms, fellowship spaces and offices. A full religious program, including Catholic and Protestant services, is offered. The chapel holds additional programs such as retreats, marriage preparation workshops, Bible studies, Vacation Bible School and seasonal activities. Contact the chapel at (928) 269-2371 for information. Chaplains and religious ministry are available to all active duty and retired military personnel and their family members. Station chaplains are available during normal working hours at the chapel. Yuma's 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing chaplains support all its subordinate units on the air station and offer assistance and programs to the Marines, sailors and families of their commands. Marines, sailors and family members assigned to MAG-13 commands, as well as MWSS-371 and MACS-1, can contact their chaplains, located in Building 112, at (928) 269-3454. A 24-hour duty chaplain covers MCAS and 3rd MAW after 4 p.m. and on holidays and weekends. For assistance requiring the duty chaplain, contact the MCAS Officer of the Day at (928) 269-2252.

Safety

The Department of Safety and Standard-ization provides support to all personnel on MCAS Yuma, ensuring safe and healthy conditions are provided on and off duty. The safety department is structured and staffed to provide support in aviation safety, naval air training and operating procedures standardization, occupational safety and health, traffic and recreational safety and explosives and tactical safety. Any safety concerns can be referred to the safety department for action. Support for inspections, briefs and safety training classes are available upon request. Retired Activities

The Retired Activities Office is staffed by volunteer military retirees. The RAO serves as the liaison between retirees, the air station staff and other military agencies. The volunteers in the RAO assist retirees on such matters as local regulations, policies on entitlements, benefits, privileges and planning for related retired personnel seminars.
