The 375th Operations Group is comprised of four airlift squadrons, an air refueling squadron, an operations support squadron, an aeromedical evacuation squadron which extends over three operating locations and a combat flight inspection detachment. It executes all three of Air Mobility Command's core capabilities—airlift, air refueling and aeromedical evacuation—by providing operational support airlift with C-21A aircraft at three U.S. and one deployed location; DV special airlift missions via an association with Air Force Reserve Command's 932nd Airlift Wing; global air refueling support via an association with the Air National Guard's 126th Air Refueling Wing; and operates aeromedical evacuation systems on seven air mobility platforms for inter/intra-theater casualty movement.
Additionally, the group develops emerging technology procedures for integration into U.S. Air Force flight operations and conducts worldwide combat flight inspections on Federal Aviation Administration-owned aircraft. Finally, the group has responsibility for C/NC-21A aircraft maintenance, operations support for deployment of combat-ready aircrews and aircraft worldwide, and all airfield operations and management, including air traffic control of the joint-use Scott AFB/Mid America Airport called home by three flying wings.
The 54th Airlift Squadron, partnered with the 932d Airlift Wing, is one of the first Air Mobility Command and Air Force Reserve Command active associate squadrons under the Total Force Integration model. The squadron flies three expressly configured C-40C aircraft on Special Air Missions as directed by Headquarters Air Force to transport members of the Presidential Cabinet, Congress, foreign heads of state, unified combatant commanders and other dignitaries to execute global missions vital to U.S. national security. The squadron also provides large team operational support airlift missions in support of Unites States Transportation Command and Air Force Reserve Command.
The 906th Air Refueling Squadron provides combined aircrews and aircraft maintenance capability though partnership with the 126th Air Refueling Wing. The Total Force Integration relationship enables worldwide KC-135 air refueling to over 30 different Air Force, Department of Defense, and allied aircraft to support peacetime, conventional and tactical operations, as well as U.S. Strategic Command's Operational Plan 8010. The squadron consistently maintains a high state of readiness for immediate, sustained, long-range air refueling, aeromedical and airlift operations, and deployment capability to support Global Reach.
The 375th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron provides rapid response aeromedical evacuation capability for any contingency. The unit trains, mobilizes, and deploys nearly 150 members to support a theater aeromedical evacuation system conducting aeromedical evacuation missions aboard C-21A, C17, C-130, and KC-135 aircraft for normal operations and missions aboard C-5, KC-10, Civil Reserve Air Fleet aircraft in contingent situations. The 375th AES pro- vides command and control over the 775th Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Flight executing CONUS patient redistribution of our nation's wounded warriors. The 375th EAEF is comprised of a command element located a Scott and strategically positioned detachments at Andrews AFB, Md. and Travis AFB, Calif.
The 375th Operations Support Squadron mission is to enable combat power by providing world-class operational support to the warfighter. A Total Force team, they are globally engaged providing weather services, air traffic control, joint-use airfield management, transient aircraft support, survival and aerospace ground equipment maintenance, aircrew flight equipment, aircrew and aeromedical aircrew training, flight records management, scheduling and current operations and command staff support to meet national objectives.
The 311th, 457th and 458th Airlift Squadrons collectively operate 19 C-21A aircraft out of four geographically separated locations including Scott AFB, Ill., Andrews AFB, Md., Peterson AFB, Colo., and a deployed location. They provide first-class operational support airlift and aeromedical evacuation with time, place or mission-sensitive requirements both at home and while deployed in steadfast support of our Expeditionary Air Force. The 458th AS is also home to the U.S. Air Force's only C-21A Formal Training Unit. The FTU conducts initial qualification, requalification, as well as instructor and senior officer qualification for the airframe. The squadron graduates 74 students annually, supporting AMC, U.S. Air Forces Europe, the Air Force Flight Standards Agency and the Air National Guard.
375th Operations Group, Detachment 1, located in Oklahoma City, Okla., develops procedures to integrate emerging technologies into U.S. Air Force flight operations in coordination with the DoD, FAA and International Civil Aviation Organization with its two uniquely-equipped NC-21 aircraft. It is also responsible for the delivery of worldwide combatant commander contingency flight inspection jointly with the FAA.
