Airman Leadership School The Airman Leadership School (ALS), located in Bldg. 1141, has a dedicated faculty and staff of four. Eight classes are offered annually with an average of 28 students per class. Aquatics CenterThe aquatics center, located in Bldg. 404, has an adult pool and a kiddie pool, both available year-round. The center offers military lap swimming, swimming lessons, lifesaving courses, aqua-aerobics, physical therapy workout sessions and special activities. A water slide, physical conditioning area, two eight-person therapeutic spas, a dry coed sauna and a swim lift for disabled patrons are also available. Base ExchangeBase Exchange (BX), located in Bldg.1425, services include pizza and hot dog stands, beauty and barber shops, optical and watch repair shops, and the main exchange. CommissaryThe Peterson AFB Commissary is located in Bldg. 1435, on Vincent Street next to the Base Exchange. Bowling CenterThe Peterson Bowling Center is located in Bldg. 406. The bowling center offers year-round bowling leagues, snack bar operations with daily specials, youth birthday parties, bowling lessons and a complete pro-shop. The Club @ Peterson AFB serves lunch Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., evening dining in the main lounge Tuesday and Wednesday, and evening dinner in the dining room Thursday and Friday from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Sunday brunch the first and third Sunday of the month from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and closed Saturday. The Club @ Peterson AFB prides itself on its special dining events—an elegant Sunday brunch traditionally offered the first and third Sundays of the month, a very special quarterly Kids Night Out that combines a themed buffet with exciting events and fun activities for young children, and tantalizing seafood buffets, special live Maine lobster dinners, Mongolian BBQ buffets, main lounge gatherings each month and a quarterly member appreciation breakfast buffet.

Joint Personnel Property Shipping OfficeThe Joint Personnel Property Shipping Office (JPPSO) has a branch office on Peterson AFB in Bldg. 350, room 2139. The office is primarily responsible for outbound personal property arrangements and processing shipment applications for members who want to ship personal property from outside of Colorado Springs. Leisure Travel OfficeThe Leisure Travel Office (LTO), located at 830 Tinker St, Bldg 640, can accommodate all leisure travel needs, be it airline tickets, cruise packages, hotel and car reservations or vacation packages worldwide. Library
The Peterson Base Library, located in Bldg. 1171, contains more than 37,000 volumes covering various subject areas, with an emphasis on science and technology.
College Level Examination Program study guides and videos are available. The library also offers books on tape. The library maintains a collection of nearly 75 periodicals and five daily newspapers. NCO Academy
The Peterson Noncommissioned Officer Academy (NCOA), located in Bldg. 1142, holds six-week long classes with an average of 80 students from many different military installations. Service StationA service station, located at 250 Otis Avenue, offers basic auto repairs and service. Hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed Sunday. For more information, call (719) 597-0350.
ShoppetteThe Peterson AFB Shoppette, Bldg. 1700 on Paine Street, carries beverages, food, magazines, health and beauty aids, pet supplies and more. The Shoppette's package store offers non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages and limited party supplies. The Shoppette is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Silver Spruce Golf CourseThe Silver Spruce Golf Course is located at Bldg. 1054. Breakfast and lunch are served seven days a week featuring an outstanding snack bar operation with daily specials. Take advantage of professional party planning and catering services. The golf course offers a driving range, practice green, extensive pro shop, patio for special functions and a well maintained 18-hole golf course. Youth CenterThe Peterson Youth Center, located at Bldg. 1555, offers before and after school and full day summer camp programs for children six to 12 years old. A part-day enrichment program is offered for children three to five years old. Pre-teen and teen programs are ongoing and include activities such as leadership clubs, special events and trips, computer lab, homework help and recreational game room. There are summer adventure camps for youth ages 9-18 that include rock climbing, hiking, biking and white water rafting. Youth Sports leagues are recreational and include baseball, indoor/outdoor soccer, basketball and flag football. Youth Sports camps are available during the summer and include archery, golf, flag football, baseball, soccer and tennis. Volunteers for youth sports are always needed.
