UNIT, PERSONAL & FAMILY READINESS PROGRAM
In the Marine Corps, "family" means every person who impacts a Marine. From parents to spouses to fellow service members, a Marine's support network is their family. The Unit, Personal & Family Readiness Program was created to provide Marines and their families the tools to successfully meet the challenges of the military lifestyle.

Each unit aboard New River has a Unit, Personal & Family Readiness Officer. It is the readiness officer's mission to educate, assist and empower Marines and families to achieve and maintain a high state of personal and family readiness and resiliency in response to life, career and mission events. Unit, Personal & Family Readiness Officers will achieve this by providing information, tools, resources and support, in conjunction with MCCS and other agencies, to empower Marines and family members to take care of themselves.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER
The Child Development Center offers full-time care, hourly care, part day preschool programs, before and after school programs, Family Child Care program and a Resource and Referral service. The CDC has an open door policy and parents should feel free to visit the program any time. For more information, call (910) 449-6712.

THE NAVY AND MARINE
CORPS RELIEF SOCIETY
The Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society provides financial assistance for active duty and retired military and family members. The society also provides financial counseling to military personnel and their families, layettes and visiting nurses. Visiting nurses can provide assistance to families with infants, housebound retirees, widows and widowers. The office is located on Curtis Road in Building AS-232. L.I.N.K.S.

LIFESKILLS

The Lifeskills program seeks to engage, educate and offer referral services to Marines, Sailors and their families regarding various skill sets and resources necessary to be successful in the hectic military environment. Classes offered under this program are as followed: Pre-Marital Workshop, "PREP" Marriage Enhancement Workshop, "His Needs/Her Needs" Workshop, Looking For Love (in all the Wrong Places) Workshop, "Five Love Languages" Workshop, Family Care Plan Workshop, Various Youth and Teen Workshops/venues, COSC and CACO Venues for RDST events, Personality Style Workshop.

MCCS COORDINATOR

Coordinators are experts on MCCS services and activities. The coordinator plans, develops, administers and provides assistance for a balanced program of family readiness, recreational and leisure activities. Coordinators are the one stop shop in obtaining MCCS support. They will work with unit readiness and MCCS services and activities. They are responsible for assisting the Family Readiness Officer and Unit Commander in accessing critical services that will improve morale and mission readiness.

Readiness Deployment Support Trainer Offers assistance to units and families through pre-, during and post-deployment, and readiness workshops and presentations. These workshops include Pre-Deployment Briefs, Beyond the Briefs, Kids n' Deployment, In the Midst, Spouse's Return and Reunion, Kids n' Reunion and While We Wait Club.

AMERICAN RED CROSS

KEYSTONE MEETINGS
Boys and Girls Clubs of America is a program that offers an opportunity to gain leadership skills, participate in and earn community service hours as well as social activities. For more information, call (910) 449-6711.

CHAPLAIN'S RELIGIOUS EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT OPERATION
CREDO has a goal to help people grow toward increased functional ability, spiritual maturity, acceptance of responsibility and enhance readiness. CREDO has two and three-day retreats that are funded by Headquarters Marine Corps. For more information about CREDO, call (910) 450-1668.

PLAY MORNINGS

POWER HOUR
An education program implemented by the Boys and Girls Clubs of America to help students excel in school. Every day after school, members will have a quiet place to complete their homework with a tutor on hand to answer any questions. Individual tutoring is also available on a weekly or daily basis. Counseling Services provides a variety of programs and services to military members and their families to enhance life skills and improve quality of life. We offer a wide array of seminars, workshops, treatment and support groups, counseling and intervention services. Substance abuse counseling enhances readiness through drug and alcohol prevention and education programs, outpatient treatment for substance use disorders and referral to other resources as appropriate.

The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) is dedicated to the prevention, education, reporting, intervention and treatment of domestic violence. Allegations of possible child abuse or domestic violence should be reported to PMO immediately at (910) 449-6111.

VICTIM ADVOCACY PROGRAM

Victim Advocates assist victims of domestic violence, rape and sexual assault by advocating for their safety, providing emotional support and community referrals. To reach a victim advocate after hours, call (910) 376-2155.

The NPSP offers a wide range of support services to expectant parents and families with children ages zero to five. Services include prenatal and postpartum support, parenting classes, play groups and home visitation.

The Station Library provides the community with WI-FI, recreational and informational DVDs, videos, CDs, Books-on-CD, downloadable audio and books. Our computers provide free access to the Internet and e-mail. We offer programs for all ages. The Multi-Media Room can be used for small group study and meetings.

Pre-Separation and Pre-Retirement/Transition Assistance Program offers seminars along with individual counseling pertaining to separation or retiring. We assist family members (spouses and eligible family members over the age of 16) with employment opportunities to include basic employment workshops, job search including federal employment information.

The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) is designed to provide assistance to active duty personnel with family members who have special medical or educational needs. If special needs are suspected or identified, enrollment is mandatory for the service member based on MCO P1754.4A.

RELOCATION ASSISTANCE

The Relocation Assistance Program provides services for inbound and outbound service members and civilians. Classes include PCS with Success, Sponsorship Training and the Welcome aboard Indoctrination. The program also has a well-stocked Lending Locker for service members and civilians to utilize when arriving or departing MCAS New River. Other services include free catalogs and coupons.

Individual counseling and workshops are available on personal financial topics such as budgeting, car buying, saving and investing and retirement planning.

LEGAL AND TAX ASSISTANCE
The Joint Law Center assists service members and families in preparing wills, power of attorney contracts and serves as advisors for legal issues dealing with the civilian community.

MEMORIAL CHAPEL
The Memorial Chapel is located on Curtis Road in Building AS-236. For more information, call (910) 449-6801. During off-duty hours or in case of an emergency, contact the duty chaplain through the Provost Marshal's Office at (910) 449 6111.

2ND MARINE AIRCRAFT
WING BRANCH CLINIC
The Clinic is located on White Street in Building AS-100 and is open Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for active duty personnel aboard Station. The clinic is open for emergencies only Tuesday and Thursday, starting at noon. For appointments, call (910) 449-6500. Off-duty hour emergencies should go to the Naval Hospital emergency room.

FAMILY MEDICINE CLINIC
When enrolling in TRICARE, family member may choose their primary care provider at the FMC. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The FMC is located in the back of Building AS-100 on White Street. Off-duty hour emergencies should go to the Naval Hospital emergency room. For appointments, call (910) 449-5527.
