In the early days after Pike Road incorporated, town leaders set goals that would direct the development of the town. One of the goals would soon become a reality. Pike Road Natural Trail will contain a first stretch of 14.7 miles, which will run from Highway 231 to Flowers Road. Originally conceived as a horse riding trail, the updated plan will accommodate walkers, joggers and bicyclists as well as horseback riders.
