This is accomplished through a variety of services, seminars and special employment recruitment—all at NO COST. These services include:

Career/Job/Rsum Counseling
Company Recruitment

Rsum Software
Rsum Workshop

CRMC has an extensive stock of Career Resource books available for use within the office. The subjects covered include rsum instruction, college information, career fields and current professional topics and trends.

Exceptional Family Member Program
The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) ensures that the needs of the exceptional family member are taken into consideration throughout the change of assignment process. These needs may include physical, emotional, developmental and medical components. Staff are trained to assist military members in the enrollment process and provide information on local military and community support programs.

A family member with special needs warrants a certain lifestyle, sacrifice and rewards. The Exceptional Family Member Program staff is dedicated to ensure that all Marine and Navy families who have a special needs family member are provided with information and resources necessary to assist families. The EFMP cannot accomplish this task alone. We need your help. We need your input in order to create a program that incorporates the real issues of concern. No one can help us achieve this better than those who endure the lifestyle.

The Military Committee for Persons with Disabilities (MCPD) is a committee specifically established to listen to the concerns and issues of all Marine Corps, Navy, military retirees and DoD civilians who live, work on board MCB Hawaii and have family members with special needs. The committee consists of representatives from all the major resources on board MCB Hawaii who then addresses the concerns. The committee meets on the last Wednesday of each month. Contact the EFMP Coordinator to find out the location and time of the next meeting.

The Special Needs Information and Support Network meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month. The Support Group provides an opportunity for families to network informally and to receive valuable training on special needs issues. For a list of on-island EFMP resources on the MCCS Hawaii website, go to: http://www.mccs hawaii.com/efmp.shtml
