Boy Scouts of America
Boy Scouts of America was incorporated to provide a program for community organizations that offers effective character, citizenship and personal fitness training for youth. Specifically, the BSA endeavors to develop American citizens who are physically, mentally and emotionally fit; have a high degree of self-reliance as evidenced in such qualities as initiative, courage and resourcefulness; have personal values based on religious concepts; have the desire and skills to help others; understand the principles of the American social, economic and governmental systems; are knowledgeable about and take pride in their American heritage and understand our nation's role in the world; have a keen respect for the basic rights of all people; and are prepared to participate in and give leadership to American society.
Cub Scouts do fun things with other kids. They get to wear a cool uniform, go places and see things. They play all kinds of sports and build things, like race cars and birdhouses. Want to learn a secret code? Want to learn about wild animals? If you're a boy in the first through fifth grades (ages 7 to 10), go Cub Scouting.
Boy Scouts get away from it all. They camp, hike, and fish in the great outdoors. They get together in troops and try out new experiences. Scouting is available to boys 11 to 17 years old, or who have earned the Arrow of Light Award, or have completed the fifth grade.
Venturing is for young adults ages 14 to 20 who, along with adult leaders, are registered with the Boy Scouts of America. The program matches the interests of young adults with adult expertise and resources of the chartered organization and other adults in the community.

Develop to their full potential.
Relate to others with increasing understanding, skill and respect.
Develop a meaningful set of values to guide their actions and to provide for sound decision-making.
Contribute to the improvement of society.
