Apache Arts and Crafts
Apache Arts and Crafts facility includes work space, classrooms and supplies for arts and crafts projects, including: a sales store, ceramics, computer Internet space, frame, jewelry, multi-crafts, wood, plaque and trophy, embroidery and screen-printing area. Create your own works of art or take advantage of full-service provided by the talented staff. Classes are offered for ceramics, wood shop, basic framing, mat cutting and other special interest classes. Sprocket Auto Crafts Center
Sprocket Auto Crafts Center offers a variety of services for the home mechanic. The facility has clean, heated/air conditioned work space for self-auto repair. State vehicle inspections are available. Knowledgeable staff members offer mechanical advice and engine analysis. A tool room and machine shop facilitates all levels of car repair. Sandblasting and welding is also available. Car lifts and vehicle storage completes the services at Sprockets. Phantom Warrior Lanes
The Phantom Warrior Lanes is a spacious state-of-the-art bowling facility offering 48 lanes. Lanes feature automatic scoring and pop-up bumpers. One of the most popular events is Xtreme (glow-in-the-dark) bowling with high-energy music, neon bowling balls, pins and light show. Many Soldiers and families enjoy league play at Phantom Warrior Lanes. Have your child's birthday party here for a good price and entertainment for the children. CAMPING
BLORA
Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area (BLORA) features primitive to full hook-up RV campsites. Tent camping sites can be primitive or sites with water and electric utilities. BLORA also has fully-furnished one and two bedroom cottages on site. BLORA has dump stations, group camp areas, playgrounds, coin-operated laundry, showers and restrooms, RVs, boat and camper storage. Travel Camp
West Fort Hood Travel Camp has 64 full hook-up RV sites, with 50-30-20 amp electrical service, water, sewer and dump stations. There is a coin-operated laundry and 24-hour showers. The travel camp features a playground and a secure, fenced storage for RVs, boats and campers. The travel camp is located on West Fort Hood, Building 70004, Clarke Road. CLUB HOOD
Club Hood is proud of its Sunday Brunch, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. during certain holidays and its lunch menu, served weekdays, excluding holidays and training holidays, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Club Hood dining is open to all ranks and civilians.
Sunday Brunch
Sunday brunch is offered during certain holidays. The menu includes carving stations featuring Virginia-baked ham and top round beef, full luncheon buffet, fresh peel-and-eat shrimp, salad bar, made-to-order omelet and waffle station, full breakfast buffet, mimosa, iced tea, milk and orange juice.
Lunch
Club Hood's lunch option, in the Mesquite Room is a daily delight. The lunch plate consists of a hot entrée, starch, vegetable, dinner roll and beverage. There are two entrees to choose from daily. A salad bar and dessert are additional options. Club Hood also provides event services.
Event Planning/Catering
If your event is small and intimate or grand in scale, the staff at the Club Hood can assist in all your planning needs. Their chefs will create a wonderful menu, perfect for your guests, from appetizers to a buffet with carving stations or a sit down meal. COFFEE SHOP
Java Café
Java Café kiosk offers Starbucks coffees without a trip off post. Java Café also services sweet treats and chilled refreshments. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Java Café is located in the Rivers Building Parking Lot, on the corner of T.J. Mille Boulevard and 761st Tank Battalion Avenue. Their drive-in window provides fast service and great coffee.

The Courses of Clear Creek
The Courses of Clear Creek golf course snack bar offers breakfast to early morning tournament players and a made-to-order lunch menu. Enjoy the beautiful view from the patio while eating. The golf course is open to the public. Call (254) 287-4130.
Phantom Warrior Lanes Strike Zone
Phantom Warrior Lanes Strike Zone is open daily, 8:30 a.m. to close, offering a variety of menu choices, from breakfast to pizza to soup and salad. Sportsmen's Center Grill
Sportsmen's Center Grill is famous for its Friday fish lunches. The grill is open weekdays, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and weekends, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The menu ranges from salads to daily lunch specials, such as: fish, chicken fried steak and beef tips with noodles. GOLF
The Courses of Clear Creek
The Courses of Clear Creek is a state-of-the-art 27-hole course with challenging greens located in the scenic rolling hills of Fort Hood. The courses feature a 4,500 square foot club house with a large deck overlooking the courses and an upscale retail pro shop. A four-hole children's course introduces kids to the sport. A professional golf pro is available to teach lessons at the golf course. The Courses of Clear Creek sponsors frequent tournaments and clinics. Club and car rentals are available. HUNTING, FISHING, ATV,
SPORTSMEN'S CENTER
The Sportsmen's Center is the one-stop shop for hunting on post. This center offers state hunting and fishing licenses and post permits. An added bonus for hunters and anglers here: Texas waives their fees for licenses for service members. There is a fully-equipped pro shop. Check out their guided and unguided hunts. Seasonal fishing and hunting contests are frequently featured. Bow hunters are not forgotten with supplies and bow qualification testing offered. The Sportsmen's Center also operates an Archery range and a Trap and Skeet range. Check out the Sportsmen's Center, Building 1937 on Rod and Gun Club Loop, off North Avenue. Obtain your permit for Fort Hood's very own Area 111 ATV Park at the Sportsmen's Center. The park offers varying terrain for riders of all skill levels. Annual family packages can be purchased for $50, individual packages for $20 and one-day permits for $5 per person. The park is open during daylight hours only and proper safety must always be observed. For more information, call (254) 532 4552. Belton Lake Outdoor
Recreation Area (BLORA)
BLORA is a beautiful, comprehensive 89 acre recreational facility nestled against Belton Lake. The facility offers fishing, swimming, boating and camping. The facility is located 14 miles north of the main post. In the spring, budding trees and wild flowers are plentiful. At times, wild turkey and deer can be seen. During the drive out, motorists should look for cattle which roam freely on the ranges. Also, look for tactical vehicles. BLORA is near tactical training ranges. One bedroom cottages (sleeps four adults) and two bedroom cottages (sleeps six adults), equipped with full kitchens, linens, screened-in porches, barbeque and picnic tables are available for rent.
BLORA welcomes campers. There are several acres set aside for camping. BLORA features many RV pads, equipped with electricity and plumbing. Dump stations are also available. Patrons can also enjoy a day on the lake with BLORA's watercraft rentals, ranging in size from fishing boats to 36 foot party boats. Boater safety courses are offered regularly.
Anyone using BLORA has free use of Sierra Beach, paddleboats, hydro-bikes and boat ramps. On the beach are changing facilities, picnic tables and playground equipment. BLORA also features twin 300-foot waterslides that curve and plunge for hours of family fun. For smaller children, there is the Kiddie Wash water spray pad. Swimming is only permitted when lifeguards are on duty.
BLORA features several large pavilions perfect for unit functions. Most of these facilities are located adjacent to playgrounds, athletic field and permanent restrooms. Pavilions must be reserved in advance and reservation fee is required. Ask for specials just for unit and family readiness group functions. In addition to pavilions, there are hundreds of picnic tables, some with grills for your use. Baseball, volleyball, basketball and horseshoes can be played at several locations. One of the most popular attractions is the challenging bike trails. The trails are designed to accommodate riders of all skill levels. BLORA is located on Nolan Road, 14 miles northeast of main post. Paintball
There are three courses for all paintball enthusiasts to enjoy—from beginners to experts. For $30 per person, individuals will receive a marker, hopper, safety gear, 500 paintballs and unlimited air but if you have your own paintball equipment, the cost is $25—which includes 500 paintballs and unlimited air. Group rates are also available for $25 per person. The course is open to the public (10 years old or older). Players 10 to 17 years old must have guardian signature to play. The course is open Saturday, Sunday and many holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (daylight hours) and Monday through Friday by appointment. The course is closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The fields are located off of Liberty Hill Road near the entrance to BLORA. BLORA is located on North Nolan Road, approximately 10 miles from East Range Road. Fishing
Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area (BLORA) features an enclosed floating dock with three interior fishing wells, interior and exterior seating, heated in the winter. Guided fishing trips and youth fishing derbies offered quarterly. Resale shop offers bait, tackle and camping supplies. Watercraft rentals at the boat dock. State of Texas boating safety courses offered monthly. The facility is located in Building 126 on north on Nolan Road, 14 miles northeast of main post. There are also many ponds on Fort Hood containing fish, and Stillhouse Hollow Lake, near Harker Heights, is an excellent place to catch the big one!

Casey Memorial Library
Casey Memorial Library features books, reference, media, e-books, databases, computer and Internet access, CDs, DVDs, videos, language tapes, story time, periodicals, newspapers, study areas, tax forms, microforms and interlibrary loans. Legend's Pub
Legend's Pub is a great location for officers and their guests to end the day. Enjoy free billiards and darts all night long. On Friday there's great food, a DJ and karaoke. Legend's has great décor and is a fun place for any type of party. The club is located in Building 5782, 24th Street and Tank Destroyer Boulevard, near Club Hood. Patton's Inn
Patton's Inn is a great location for everyone to unwind by playing dominos or cards, shooting pool and listening to music. Patton's is the perfect location to hold your next meeting or party. Backbone NCO Lounge
Backbone NCO Lounge offers NCOs and their guests a fun environment to enjoy a drink, pool, darts or watch the game. During football season, enjoy NFL Sunday Ticket at Backbone from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., showing every game on 42 inch flat screen TVs. Backbone NCO Lounge is located in Building 194 on 37th Street. Keith L. Ware Lounge
Keith L. Ware Lounge is located on the first floor of Keith L. Ware Hall, which is the lodging near Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. The lounge provides an intimate, quiet atmosphere with flat panel TVs and limited seating. All lounges are open Wednesday, 4:30 to 8 p.m.; Thursday, 3 to 8 p.m.; and Friday, 4:30 to 11 p.m.

Palmer Theater

Equipment Checkout Center
Equipment Checkout Center offers a long list of outdoor and party equipment rentals.
For camping: sleeping bags, tents, coolers, stoves, lanterns, heaters and port-a-potties.
Trailers: pop-up and tow behind recreational vehicle travel trailers and utility trailers.
Party items: climbing wall, dunking booth, folding chairs, tables, cotton candy, nacho, popcorn, snow cone and hot dog machines, coffee pots and turkey/fish fryers. Tents and canopies, all sizes, with and without sides are available.
Sports equipment: basketballs, footballs, tug-of-war ropes, volleyballs, horseshoes, baseballs, push balls, tennis rackets, gloves, bats and croquet sets.

SKATING
Aerobics and Skating Center facility offers a rolling good time for kids and kids at heart. Specialty skate sessions, classes and programs are featured. There are party rooms for birthdays, meetings or family gatherings. Video games are available for those who need a break from skating. Snack bar provides refreshments. Center/rink rental is available for special events. A Pro Shop offers all your skating needs. The Aerobics and Skating Center is located in Building 324 on 37th Street. Non/low impact water aerobics are offered at Abrams Physical Fitness Center. Water aerobics is designed for all fitness levels and non-swimmers. There is no fee for water aerobics. Army Sports
Fort Hood supports Soldiers interested in competing in Army-wide sports. These include competitions in power lifting, tae kwon do, 10-miler races and rugby. Two female members of the Fort Hood Power lifting Team boosted the U.S.A. to a team championship in the 18th Women's World Masters Championship 2009. Fort Hood Special Sporting Events
Fort Hood holds special sporting events to raise morale and encourage fitness. Combatives and boxing tournaments are held frequently. Professional coaches are usually brought in to train and assist participants. Combative pits are located in unit areas for year-round training.
Intramural Sports

Hood Howdy
A big Fort Hood Texas-size welcome is extended twice a year to new arrivals. Held in February and August, this info fair style event provides information about the local area, including: schools, businesses, on and off-post agencies, housing and DFMWR facilities. This is a great opportunity to discover the greater Fort Hood community, by providing a wealth of information about your new hometown. Entertainment, information, food and door prizes add fun to the welcome.
Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt
Traditionally held the Thursday before Easter, thousands of eggs and goodies are hidden and children ages 2 to 12 are invited to bring their baskets, flashlights and a parent to hunt eggs in the dark at Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area. Pictures with the Easter Bunny, concessions and other children's activities make the evening egg-citing. Gate fee applies.
Month of the Military Child Festival
Month of the military child is held each April to recognize our nation's most patriotic and brave citizens, the children of military members. A fest in their honor is held to thank them for their sacrifice and show appreciation for their role in the military family. Food, entertainment and great door prizes make this fest the place to be for Fort Hood youth.
Water Fest
Summer enters with a splash during the annual Water Fest at Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area. Welcome the summer with free paddleboat rides, Kids' Auto Wash, waterslide rides, pony rides, petting zoo, climbing wall, professional fish demonstrations, Jet Ski races, a guarded swimming area, with a beautiful sandy beach and much more. Bring a picnic lunch or enjoy concessions. Cool off with lots of fun activities for the whole family, the first weekend of June during Water Fest. Gate fee applies.
Freedom Fest
There's no better place to celebrate our nation's birth than Fort Hood. The evening sky of July 4th, transforms with the largest 30 minute fireworks display in central Texas. Enjoy a whole day filled with carnival rides, concessions, games, military displays and other family activities.
U.S. Army Soldier Show
Some of the most talented active duty Soldiers throughout the Army are selected through auditions to perform in a high energy, 90-minute, live musical review. Soldiers with a passion for music, dance and performing, showcase their talents in performances across the globe. The tour stops at Fort Hood every summer or fall. Free entry. Fort Hood Hunting and Fishing Day
Outdoorsmen from around the community join together each year during Fort Hood's Hunting and Fishing Day, at the Sportsmen's Center. Celebrating the great outdoors and recognizing conservation efforts, sportsmen gather for a day full of outdoor sports, including; fishing derbies, trap and skeet competitions, turkey shoots, archery shoots and more. This September event is a great opportunity for the non-hunter to link up with an experienced outdoorsman and learn a new sport. Free entry.
Nature in Lights
Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area transforms into a winter wonderland for kids and kids at heart each year. Visitors drive through the 800-acre park and enjoy five and a half miles of computer driven, illuminated displays, architectural and foliage lighting. Guests can shop for gifts, take photographs with Santa and enjoy homemade cookies, hot chocolate and other treats at Santa's Village, located in the park at Live Oak Pavilion. Nature in Lights runs nightly, mid-November through early January. Gate fee applies.
TRAILS
Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area features guided horseback trail rides for guests 12 years of age or older. Pony rides are offered for children 11 years and younger. Mountain bike park trails are offered for novice to experienced riders. A nature trail for hikers winds through the wooded acres of the park. Information, Ticketing and Registration (ITR)
ITR provides affordable leisure and recreational activities for the military community. Purchase amusement park, concert and sporting event tickets at ITR. Local and area tours are featured. FMWR has a world-wide link up to many facilities. Hotel discounts, trip brochures and planning assistance are all available at ITR. A great source of travel, concerts and recreational information is the post newspaper, the Fort Hood Sentinel. The newspaper prints a listing of area concerts, events, fairs and festivals. Each week, the Traveling Soldier article features a day-trip in the local area. Pick up the free Fort Hood Sentinel at locations throughout the installation.
