FITNESS CENTERS
The Sports Branch, (573) 596-4359, located in the Davidson Fitness Center coordinates a wide range of sports and fitness activities for the installation. In addition to overseeing numerous intramural sports programs, the Sports Branch hosts the annual National Softball Association tournaments and Commander's Cup tournaments; 14 softball fields, nine soccer fields, six tennis courts highlight the excellent outdoor sports facilities available to post community members.
Additional multi-use softball fields, flag football fields, youth athletic fields and 400-meter all weather track are also available. During summer months, the sports staff oversees the operation of the Recreation Complex on Constitution Avenue with an 18-hole Miniature Golf Course and Go Kart track, an Olympic-sized outdoor pool (with a 50-foot water slide), a zero entry Splash Park and a family-size pool in the Lieber Heights housing area. Pool parties, swimming lessons and lifeguard training are available.
The Davidson Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art facility that provides fitness equipment and programs for the entire family. The 63,000-square-foot facility has basketball, racquetball and volleyball courts; an indoor 25-meter swimming pool; an elevated indoor running track; Nautilus and free weights, cardiovascular equipment, a cardio fitness theater; six locker rooms, towel service and equipment check-out.

Specker Gym is located in Building 1714 in the Specker Barracks complex. It is a premier weight-training center with Hammer Strength equipment, free weights, cardiovascular equipment, racquetball courts, equipment issue service and three locker rooms. For information, call (573) 596-7377.
FAMILY AND MWR RECREATION COMPLEX
The Recreation Complex (Rec Plex) is located on Constitution Avenue across from the main PX. The Rec Plex offers a family friendly water adventure, with an Olympic-size outdoor pool (with a 50 foot water slide), a wading pool and a splash park that offers zero-depth entry, ground bubblers and misters, bucket pours, water guns and slides.
In addition to the aquatic area, the Rec Plex hosts a 23,000-square-foot miniature golf course. The beautifully landscaped mini-golf course features 18 holes of challenging and exciting obstacles with a waterfall as the main centerpiece.
The Go-Kart track offers a thousand-linear-foot track with many challenging twists, turns and high bank curves. The capability to have 12 carts racing at once creates a heart-stopping racing experience for all ages!
PINEY VALLEY GOLF COURSE
The Piney Valley Golf Course is located on the east side of Fort Leonard Wood, just off Water Intake Road on FLW 20. It is a beautiful 18-hole, 72-par, 7,014 yard championship facility nestled in the valley of the Big Piney River. Amenities include a fully stocked pro shop, custom club fitting, lessons, driving range facilities to include putting and chipping areas. Piney Valley Golf Course offers a challenge to golfers of all skill levels.
The Sandwedge Eatery snack bar, located in the club house, features daily lunch specials and an outdoor deck with a view of the golf course, as well as a pavilion for special functions with catering available upon request.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE CENTER
The Outdoor Adventure Center, Building 2290, has a fully stocked Federal Firearm License Pro Shop which sells a variety of equipment for hunting, fishing, camping and other outdoor activities. The Pro Shop rents a variety of camping, boating and sports equipment. The center also offers floating and float trip packages, including equipment and transportation.
The Outdoor Adventure Center also operates two paintball fields, skeet, trap and archery ranges, with basic instruction offered for first time users. Paintball tournaments, campouts, kids' fishing derbies, Historical Weapons Managed Deer Hunt, and National Hunting and Fishing Day are just a few of the annual events sponsored by the Outdoor Adventure Center. The Center coordinates park reservations on post, to include camping at the Big Piney Campgrounds. The Outdoor Adventure Center also sells Missouri and Fort Leonard Wood hunting and fishing permits.

LAKE OF THE OZARKS RECREATION AREA
Lake of the Ozarks Recreation Area (LORA) is a year-round Army recreation facility, located in the Lake of the Ozarks State Park, about 50 miles from Fort Leonard Wood. Lake of the Ozarks is more than just a lake; it's a unique vacation destination for thousands of Midwesterners. LORA is Fort Leonard Wood's own vacation getaway, and is open to active duty and retired military, National Guard and reservists, DoD employees, family members and contract employees. At LORA, patrons can rent cabins or use campsites, RV sites and picnic pavilions. The facility has a marina where customers can rent ski boats, deck boats, party barges, fishing boats, fishing equipment and jet skis. DAUGHERTY BOWLING CENTER
Daugherty Bowling Center is located in Building 1609, South Dakota, across from Davidson Fitness Center. Open daily; the center has 40 lanes with computerized scoring capabilities, league bowling and Xtreme Bowling Friday and Saturday evenings. The Game Room, located inside Daugherty Bowling Center, has a variety of video games and pool tables. If you enjoy bingo, try your luck with hand-held Planet Bingo machines.

FAMILY AND MWR FRAME SHOP
The FMWR Frame Shop, Building 490, offers custom framing and matting services, along with a complete line of mats and frames. One-on-one framing instruction is available upon request. The Frame Shop also has a fully functional engraver capable of engraving a variety of products.

AUTO CRAFT SHOP
Auto Craft Shop, Building 1383, has 12 fully equipped self-service bays and certified mechanics for state inspections. Full service auto care is available by appointment. Information Tickets and Registration (ITR) and World Class Travel is located in Building 490, (the PX Mini-Mall.) ITR sells discounted tickets for local and national attractions and sporting events such as Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Six Flags, Branson, St. Louis Rams, Cardinals and more. SERVICE AND COMMUNITY CENTERS
Family and MWR Catering, located at the Pershing Community Center, 4109 Piney Hills Drive, offers a variety of services designed to fit your needs. Catering services are available for personal and professional functions in the Pershing Community Center and Sergeant Audie Murphy (SAMC) Commu-nity Center, as well as other locations on post. The Pershing Community Center, Building 4109 in the Sturgis Heights housing area, offers the Blackjack Bar and Grill with full menu and entertain-ment. The center has rooms to host meeting, conference and formal events for unit and individual functions. CHILD, YOUTH AND SCHOOL SERVICES (CYS)
Child, Youth and School (CYS) Services creates a seamless delivery system for children and youth from four weeks through 18 years of age. The division is made up of a center-based system, quarters-based system and Parent and Outreach Services.
The Child Development Center (CDC), located in Building 615 on Replacement Avenue (across from the Community Service Center) is a state-of-the-art, expertly staffed, well equipped, nationally accredited and Department of Defense certified center. The CDC accommodates full day care, part day preschool, Strong Beginnings Pre K, Before/After Kindergarten care, Full Day Kindergarten care in the summer, and hourly care for children until they enter kindergarten. Full day care is available weekdays, 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The part-day preschool program offers a three-day afternoon session.
The hourly care program offers care by reservations Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Family Child Care (FCC), a quarters-based system, is also available. FCC provides in-home care by certified adult family members occupying authorized government quarters as a childcare option for parents seeking a small group setting. The program offers full-day, part-day and hourly care. It also offers extended hours care that includes early morning, evening and weekend care. Child Development Services certifies all FCC providers.
School-Age Services (SAS) is a state-of-the-art, expertly staffed, well equipped, nationally accredited and Department of Defense certified center. SAS offers a before and/or after school program during the school year and a full day program during summer months and on non-school days. The program is open weekdays, 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for children from first through fifth grade. SAS offers many opportunities to include a computer lab, enrichment center (homework lab) and various 4H clubs.
The Middle School/Teen Program is located in the Pippin Youth Center, Building 9625, on Young Street for sixth through eighth graders. The Teen Program is located inside Pippin Youth Center and gives teens a place to call their own. The Teen Program is open to military and civilian family members in ninth through twelfth grades. A full range of youth social and educational activities are offered, including youth trips, theme dances, parties, and adventure day camps. The Middle School/Teen Program has an active partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs of America and the 4-H Clubs of America. For more information, call (573) 596-0209.
FLW's Youth Sports and Fitness Program offers both individual and team activities and involves not only Fort Leonard Wood teams, but also surround-ing community teams.
Parent and Outreach Services expand the CYS Services programs and offer a wide variety of services. Parent and Outreach Services include the School Liaison Officer (SLO) who directly supports command interests regarding policy, funding and facilities with the Waynesville R-VI School District and 10 other districts in the surrounding area. The SLO serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on school transition issues. The SLO is the "point person" for facilitating the delivery of quality school transition and education support services with all school districts serving the youth of Fort Leonard Wood.
Kids On Site (KOS) offers on-site hourly group childcare within the same building where the parents or guardians are attending the same on-post func-tion. Sites for KOS sessions must be approved in advance. All children attending KOS sessions must be registered at the Parent Central Services.
Volunteer Childcare in the Unit Setting (VCCUS) is free childcare provided by the family members in one military unit or organization for family mem-bers in another military unit or organization in exchange for similar services at a future, mutually agreed upon time. Unit childcare volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and must attend CYS Services training prior to providing care. There must be a minimum of two volunteers at each session.
Parenting and Outreach Services also offer resource and referrals to assist parents in locating off-post childcare, as well as teenage babysitter training that provides training for babysitters age 13 and up, and provides a referral list to prospective parents looking for babysitting services.
Parent Central Services is your first stop in the CYS Services process and is the central point of enrollment. All necessary paperwork will be completed at the time of registration. Up-to-date immunization records, the child's Social Security Number (SSN), and emergency contact information are required at the time of registration.
