Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (Fmwr)
programs are for every aspect of your life. From sports and fitness to social events at the clubs, concerts and other special events, FMWR offers something for every stage of your life. When it comes to recreation and leisure, our facilities have something for everyone, from boats and campsites, to fitness facilities and a golf club comparable to any civilian club. You will find our programs and activities committed to quality and service and aimed toward making your tour at Fort Jackson a pleasant one.
All services are available to active-duty military, retirees, reservists, National Guard members, DoD civilian employees and their family members. Come to our FMWR facilities and see what they have to offer you. The Retiree Bulletin, published twice a year, is mailed to some 13,000 retirees and widows living in South Carolina to keep them informed of changes in Army policy and Fort Jackson recreational events.
GOLF CLUB
The Fort Jackson Golf Club is a 36-hole complex, featuring two championship golf courses, a pro shop, dining area, lounge and locker rooms. The Golf Club is open to active-duty military, retirees, active federal employees, reservists, National Guard members, family members and DoD civilians.
A complete range of facilities and services are available to the golfer, including a spacious driving range, pitching, chipping and putting greens, and lessons and clinics taught by our PGA staff.
The Wildcat Course has generous fairways through rolling terrain. The Old Hickory Course is routed around several lakes and wetland areas.
There are intramural and youth golf leagues and many tournaments throughout the year from which you can choose. Membership is available to all military and DoD civilian ID card holders and a limited number of veterans. The phone number is 787-4437/4344.
NCO/ENLISTED CLUB
The NCO club is open to all ranks of military members, family members and DoD civilians. NCO Club offers breakfast and lunch seven days a week, serving a full buffet with a variety of food and flavors for a great price here on post. Breakfast weekday operating hours are 6 to 9 a.m.; lunch hours are 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Weekend breakfast operating hours are 7 to 9 a.m.; lunch hours are 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Holiday brunches include Easter, Mothers Day and Fathers Day, and they feature omelet stations, waffle stations and much more. During the holiday season, there is a holiday party for the children with a princess ball, superheroes and lots of fun and games.
The catering department offers a large variety of menu items, decorations and great customer service. The club specializes in military functions, wedding receptions, retirement parties and much more. MAGRUDER’S SPORTS PUB AND CLUB
Magruder’s Pub is open seven days a week. From football to golf, we are watching all your favorite sports on one of our more than 16 TVs. The perfect neighborhood sports bar featuring weekly happy hour specials so you can come in after a long day, do some after-work networking, play some pool, or maybe throw a couple of darts and relax.
We feature more than 17 draft beers, domestic, craft, imports and all your favorite bottles. Magruder’s kitchen is open late, to 10 p.m. on weekdays and to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Magruder’s Club room is open every Wednesday with the karaoke style of Thunderbolt Karaoke with DJ Tom. Come and dance the night away and sing your heart out. Every other Friday, we have Linda’s Video Karaoke. There is no cover charge. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. during the week and 5 p.m. on the weekend. OFFICERS’ CLUB
The Officers’ Club is a membership club open to officers (active duty, retired, active federal employees, reservists and National Guard), DoD employees GS-7/NF-03 and above, and veterans.
Tuesday through Thursday, the Officers’ Club lunch is open to everyone. You don’t have to be a member or an officer to enjoy lunch at the Officers’ Club. The club offers lunch specials, featuring a variety of cuisine from around the globe to include Mongolian stir fry on Thursday and a seafood buffet on Friday.
The club also offers outstanding holiday buffets at affordable prices and a great Sunday brunch buffet is held twice a month. Members and their families also receive free use of the Legion Swimming Pool.

VICTORY BINGO
Victory Bingo, located at 12500 Huger Ave. (near TAS-C off Jackson Boulevard), is open to all military members, retirees, Reservists, and DoD civilians and their guests. Victory Bingo offers a wide variety of bingo games and entertainment. The bingo games range from quick-shot bingo, fun games, early-bird games, regular games and many jackpots. Purchase prices range from $1 to $80, with prizes ranging from $20 to $10,000. There has never been less than $8,000 in giveaways per bingo session. On Friday and Sunday, cash giveaways are never less than $15,000. Along with the bingo games, there are door prizes every day. CENTURY LANES
If you enjoy the sights and sounds of bowling, then Century Lanes is the place for you. The center features 24 lanes with the most modern bowling equipment, a pro shop and a meeting/party room. Century Lanes offers open-play bowling and leagues for all ages and skill levels.
After you have worked up an appetite bowling, the newly remodeled Strike-Zone eatery is a great place with a fine menu to handle that hunger and thirst. The Strike-Zone is a popular lunch destination for non-bowlers also. Great pizza is available.
Century Lanes now also features a new arcade with four championship pool tables and a variety of video games.
Century Lanes is a perfect place for children’s birthday parties as well as office and unit functions. The center is operated for permanent party members, National Guard and Reserve Soldiers, visiting services, retirees, DoD civilians and family members. Basic Training graduates and visiting families are welcome on Family Day and Graduation Day.

IVY LANES
Ivy Lanes features 14 bowling lanes, a large pool room/video arcade and a full service snack bar. This center is operated primarily on weekends/holidays for AIT Soldiers and on Family Days for Basic Training Soldiers.

POOLS
Open year-round, Knight Indoor Pool offers lap and open swimming, swimnastics (water aerobics), swimming lessons for adults and children, lifeguard training classes, Swim For Your Life Program (a self-paced program) and exercise equipment.
Legion Pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 4:30 to 7 p.m. It is adjacent to the Officers’ Club and features two diving boards, a children’s pool, snack bar and plenty of places to soak up the rays or relax in the shade. PALMETTO FALLS WATER PARK
Palmetto Falls Water Park offers hours of fun for the whole family. The park features a "loopty-loop" slide, two speed slides, two gang slides, a lazy river, family activity pool featuring tumble buckets, a lap pool, spray pad with several spray features and children’s pool. Palmetto Falls Water Park is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Daily/seasonal passes are available. Group rates are also available for groups larger than 15.
PALMETTO GREENS MINIATURE GOLF
Palmetto Greens Miniature Golf scaled down, 18-hole golf facility is located adjacent to the Solomon Center and Palmetto Falls Water Park, providing hours of fun for every age group. Enjoy 18 holes of golf surrounded by a lush, botanical garden setting with meandering streams and waterfalls, beautiful fountain displays and realistic rock sculpturing. Although miniature golf has been a favorite game for many decades, it has evolved away from its early day predecessors of windmills and obstacles into a sport.
Today’s miniature golf courses are "golf in miniature" facilities featuring miniature replicas of regulation golf’s "Famous Holes."
Expect undulations, contours, moguls, water and sand and vegetation traps on Palmetto Greens. Palmetto Greens offers the player many of the challenges of real golf. SPORTS BRANCH
For the sports enthusiast, the Sports Branch offers intramural programs for everyone. With the four-field softball complex at Hilton Field, Semmes Road tennis courts, at company and battalion levels, intramural sports include summer/winter basketball, co-ed volleyball, flag football and men’s, women’s and co-ed softball.
For the whole community, recreational teams are also welcome in basketball, volleyball, golf and softball. In addition, the Sports Branch hosts annual special events such as the Army 10-miler teams, bench press meets, swim meets, strongman contest, and tennis and racquetball tournaments. WESTON LAKE
From camping facilities to hiking and mountain bike trails, Weston Lake has something for everyone, year round. Weston Lake’s camping facilities include campgrounds and cabins, all fully equipped for an enjoyable getaway.
If being on the water is your way of relaxing, the watercraft at the lake is available to rent on an hourly or daily basis. Choose from motorboats, canoes or paddleboats. Or how about trying out the After-Hours Fisherman’s Access Program? Don’t let the big one get away. Patrons have caught catfish, shellcrackers and largemouth up to 11 pounds. South Carolina licenses and post permits are required to fish at Weston Lake.
Weston Lake also has picnic shelters and a spacious community house to provide the perfect setting for barbecues or reunions, located near playgrounds and sporting areas. The hiking and mountain-bike trails accommodate all fitness levels so you can enjoy the scenery and wildlife. MARION STREET STATION
Marion Street Station is your one-stop on Fort Jackson for outdoor adventure. Marion Street Station features an indoor rock-climbing wall, a variety of rental equipment from camping to kayaking and more. Classes and trips are also offered year round. Classes include scuba, canoeing, rock climbing, kayaking and much more. Marion Street Station also covers all of your hunting and fishing needs, from licenses and post permits to decoys and live bait. The sign-out system for hunting and fishing is still the same. THE IMPACT ZONE COMMUNITY CLUB
The Impact Zone Community Club is located at McCrady Training Center, in the South Carolina National Guard weekend training site. The facility is open to all FMWR eligible patrons and guests. Enjoy a relaxing game of pool, darts or videogames. Hours of operation for the facility are based on the McCrady Training Center class schedules.
MAJOR GENERAL ROBERT B. SOLOMON CENTER
The Solomon Center is a one-of-a-kind facility located on Strom Thurmond Boulevard. It is the home of a variety of activities from custom framing to fitness to special events.
Andy’s Fitness Center
Andy’s Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art fitness center with all the latest cardio and exercise equipment, including free weights, weight stack machines and an indoor running/walking track. Andy’s is fully equipped with men’s and women’s locker rooms, saunas and steam rooms. A variety of aerobics classes from beginner and senior classes to highly challenging kickboxing and step sessions are available. Retail Zone
The newest venture at the Solomon Center, the retail area, located just down the hall from the fitness center is a one-stop shop for unique gifts, souvenirs and all kinds of awards. The laser engraver, embroidery machine and photo equipment can make all kinds of awards, decorations and souvenirs to meet any need.
The Retail Zone offers a variety of custom work for awards, hail and farewell, special occasion gifts or esprit de corps items for units. Whether it’s a custom company guidon, sports team uniforms or promotional items, the Retail Zone’s production staff and artists can design and deliver that unique one of a kind item.
Conference and Meeting Areas
The Solomon Center is the place for many big special events. A variety of programs are offered throughout the year, such as changes of command, graduations, Community Awareness Day fairs, town hall meetings, professional wrestling and boxing, concerts and the Soldier Show. The Solomon Center special events area has a spacious 2,800-person seating capacity.
AUTO CRAFT SHOP
The Auto Craft Shop is the perfect place for minor repairs or maintenance on your privately owned vehicle. From oil changes, transmissions, air conditioning, tire balancing to tire rotations, you can do the job quickly and easily. Professional staff members are ready to assist.
VIDEORAMA
Known mostly for its Basic Combat Training and graduation videos and DVDs, Videorama can convert your family photos, home movies and VHS to longer lasting DVDs.
VANGUARD GYM
Vanguard gym offers full-court basketball, two racquetball courts, and a large exercise area that has Hoist and Hammer strength equipment, free weights, cardiovascular equipment to include new Life Fitness treadmills, Life Fitness elliptical cross trainers and exercise bikes as well as both male and female saunas, and locker rooms. PEREZ FITNESS CENTER
Perez Fitness Center has 20,500 square feet of workout space. The facility offers new Hoist and Hammer Strength weight equipment. Perez also offers a large free weight area that has benches, Smith cable machines, dumbbells, squat racks and more. The cardiovascular room has treadmills, elliptical cross training machines, exercise bikes, recumbent bikes, stair-master machines and Cardio Theater.

Located at the corner of Marion and Semmes Road, the 512 Trolley serves espresso based hot and cold specialty drinks, coffee, hot chocolate, 100 percent crushed whole fruit smoothies and soft serve ice cream. It is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Family Days until 5 p.m.
