Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center’s mission is to provide and promote
readiness, health, and training. It is the regional referral center for military
treatment facilities within the Southeast Regional Medical Command, specializing
in cardiology, cardio-thoracic, wound care hyperbarics, sleep studies and a wide
variety of other sub-specialties. Eisenhower also has the only military
Substance Abuse Program in the continental United States. The daily average
workload includes 1,300 outpatient visits, 50 inpatients, 18 inpatient
surgeries, 3,100 prescriptions, 17 admissions, 2075 clinic visits, and 243
immunizations. The Fort Gordon/Augusta community consists of approximately
54,000 beneficiaries. This includes active military and their family members,
and retirees and their family members.
