The ACS Volunteer Work Experience Program offers a chance to learn about military life while also assisting by being a volunteer at ACS. All volunteers work with program managers and assist on special projects.

The Army Community Service Center is designed as a focal point for military personnel and their family members entering into a new area. This facility is a central point to turn to for information, advice and guidance, in resolving personal and family problems. A variety of programs are available at ACS for active duty military, military retirees, DoD civilians and their family members. Limited services are available in the Edgewood area.

Army Emergency Relief provides financial assistance during emergencies that requires immediate attention. AER helps eligible active duty service members, retired and their dependents, USAG and ARNG soldiers on active duty for more than 30 days and their dependents and surviving spouse and orphans of deceased soldiers. Assistance is provided as an interest-free loan. Under certain circumstances, assistance may be given in the form of a grant. Food vouchers are available for families in need and meet the requirements. This service is available through ACS.

The AFTB is a volunteer-led organization that provides training and guidance to spouses and family members of military personnel. This program hopes to aid families in working together and on their communication skills. This service is available through ACS.

The Aberdeen Arts & Crafts Center offers custom engraving, custom framing and also includes self-help framing areas. Fees for services vary depending on the complexity of the job and there is a small fee for users in the self-help areas.

The Edgewood Arts & Crafts Center offers ceramics walk-in, custom framing, framing classes, garden stones, stained glass classes, studio workspace and workshop orientations.

The Automotive Crafts Center is committed to serving the individual and their vehicles. Features include a multitude of work-bays for performing both minor and major automotive repairs. Hydraulic lifts, a paint booth and a variety of computerized equipment are among the many services available.
