There is one 24-hour,
arrival point for military personnel who are newcomers on
Wright-Patterson AFB. Information will be provided concerning your sponsor and unit
orderly room, temporary billeting and meals. All unaccompanied enlisted members in
need of above information, and all officers and accompanied enlisted should report to the VOQ,
Building 825, 257-3451, using Gate 12A.
If you don’t need the assistance of the 24-hour arrival point, then report directly to the unit
orderly room where you are assigned. Signing in from a PCS is no longer required.
Members of Air Force Reserve components must report to the location specified on their orders.
Appointments for in-processing are made by unit orderly rooms with the exception of accessions
(including prior service on first duty station as an officer). Unit orderly rooms will send
all accessions to the Military Personnel Flight’s Employment Office (Building 2, Area C)
between 1 and 3 p.m. to complete pay record (E23) paperwork. Employments will then schedule
in-processing for those members. Wright-Patterson AFB in-processing includes representatives
from the family support center, safety office, disaster preparedness, office of special investigations,
pass/registration section, traffic management office, military equal opportunity, and military
and travel pay. In order to achieve a smooth in- processing, members must bring with them
all hand-carried records, all no-fee dependent passports, any do-it-yourself move paperwork, and
vehicle emissions paperwork/registration/insurance.
The INTRO Program was established to provide each incoming military member a sponsor.
If your sponsor has not contacted you within 30 days of your departure, telephone the INTRO
manager at DSN 787-2547 or commercial (937) 257-2547.
New civilian employees will receive letters
prior to their reporting dates giving specific
reporting instructions. All new employees
may contact the Civilian Personnel Division,
Customer Service/Employment Section,
Building 274, Area A. Call 257-8305 for
additional information.
Base visitors who do not have proper entry
credentials must report to one of the Visitor
Centers to obtain personal and vehicle passes or
be sponsored by a military member or DoD
Civilian through a .mil e-mail account to the
appropriate center. Using the e-mail process is
at the sole discretion of the sponsor and does
require personal information protected in accordance
with the Privacy Act of 1974. Visitors
requesting access to Areas A, C, and Kittyhawk
Center use Building 286 Pass and Registration
and Visitor Center, 257-6506 located in
parking lot 1A next to AFMC Headquarters.
