The McChord Airman & Family Readiness Center is located in Building 552, on Barnes Boulevard, and
is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.The center's telephone number is (253) 982-2695, or

At the Airman & Family Readiness Center you will find a variety of services including: Air Force Aid,
personal financial management, consumer credit counseling, career focus (employment opportunities for
spouses), employment resource room with free e-mail and Internet access, family life education, family
readiness, information and referral, transition assistance, relocation assistance, immigration and naturalization
services (INS) officer and the loan closet (loans items such as cribs, plates and high chairs). All
services are offered daily except the INS officer who is available on the second and fourth Friday of each
month by appointment only.The Airman & Family Readiness Center is totally committed to taking care
of Air Force families and operates the Escape Zone, located in Building 841. This parent/child learning
center is a relaxed and fun environment providing stress relief, informal networking opportunities, and
life skills education for families...especially those impacted by extended TDYs and deployments. It is
