Hill-AFB | Neighbors
The majority of Hill’s military and civilian employees live in the communities that surround the base. These communities feature modern shopping areas, as well as historic districts and residential neighborhoods. Cultural events, sports and other leisure opportunities make these areas a pleasant place to live.

Ogden, Utah’s fifth-largest city, is named after fur trapper Peter Skene Ogden, who traveled the Ogden Valley in 1825. The city gained its stature as a railroad hub, and now its Union Station is a site for exhibits and festivals. Ogden is home to Weber State University, which offers undergraduate degrees in 98 fields of study, and the restored Peery’s Egyptian Theater, a site for plays, vintage movies and other performances.
