Family housing is divided into basically four areas. The two largest housing areas are located in the southwest corner of the base on either side of Sixth Street. Other locations are between D and E avenues in the East Area, and north of Georgia Street in the West Area. The homes are available to all ranks from each branch of service. Waiting lists for the 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom units range from two to 12 months. Each home has a refrigerator, gas or electric range, dishwasher, disposal, evaporative cooler and a carport or garage. Units are one or two story, and some have basements.
